| Reference #:140056472245 |
Channel: ART |

The signature looks like Czech Or Maybe Russian, but its Greek to me. email us if you can figure it out.
This sensual red head stands in a spring breeze, does not seem surprised as Greyhounds jump over the crest of the hill. Her red hair and light dress are in high contrast to the earthy muted tones in the rest of this painting. Excellent light and texture treatment is very evident in her dress and the old gnarled tree behind her. I would have hung this in my own library, but it is a very large painting and would not fit. Measuring 82" wide by 59" high (approx.) Framed oil on canvas original signed by the artist. |

Channel: ART |
| Status: Sold |
|
| From a recent buy - out of an Asian import dealer is exquisitely carved by hand. It would be found at the entrance of a family shrine in China. In the carvings including bat character, (4 corners) which rhyme with the Mandarin Chinese character luck, stand for good luck. there are also dragons as part of the decoration. The top center carving is the symbol for Longevity. The four large characters in the middle read from right to left "the family name WEI". on the extream right it reads "May of the third year of a certain ruler before the republic" The ruler in this case as close as I can determine was possibly the mother of the well known "Last emporer" who would have been 3 years old during the qing ( pronounced with a hard CH sound ) dynasty. There are two places clearly visible (photo) that are chipped. An authentic wall hanging for your collection of Asian art, or perhaps placed on legs and a Glass top covering, it would make a great dining table. Measuring 41 inches high by 78 inches wide (approximately rounded to the nearest inch) |
