This piece would be perfect for the lady's boudoir. Very clean and in excellent condition. the center of the of table top opens to a mirrored compartment, with a safety hinge. Dived into five compartments to store m'ladys cosmetics. A small drawer on either side for additional storage, pulls are brass back plate with bail handle. center is a faux drawer panel with decorative brass pulls. This is a new casting purchased at auction, "as is, where is". Please email with any questions or Inquiries.
This Cast wood burning Parlor stove just returned recently from a supporting dance role in the Wonder Woodys video.
These Original stoves were manufactured in Jolliet IL. by Joliette stove works. Stove-making required a great deal of iron and steel. By 1869 Chicago plants were producing almost one-third of the country's iron and steel. Illinois was rich in coal, which was needed to fire the blast furnaces. Iron ore was shipped from northern Michigan to Chicago on Lake Michigan and sent by rail to stove factories in Joliet, Quincy, and Aurora. This more efficient type of heating meant families were no longer tied to fireplaces as their only sources of heat.
foundry stamps include "patented june 13, 1899. Other patients pending. A large "M" on each of it's sides, in addition to its name on the back.

Red porcelain Tinnerman Vintage gas range

ALBERT H. TINNERMAN 1879-1961 originated
The first, all-porcelain, enameled gas range with concealed fastenings in 1923. This is a 40" range Model number 98LXT6. in bright red enameled porcelain manufactured in Cleveland Ohio.

On the left front are burner controls that extend through the left side storage door, (and oven controls behind the door). On the right side are the oven and broiler drawer under it. 4 burners at rear of stove top possibly a safety feature, with an ample porcelain enameled work surface extending the full width of the top. The splash plate has the thermometer located in the center under the manufacturer name plate,

History; In 1900, 70 per cent of Cleveland's hardware business was in German hands. The Germans had established thriving businesses in the sheet metal and home appliances areas. The Dangler Stove Co. was known throughout the United States. George A. Tinnerman (Tuennermann) from Hessen, Germany had started an early hardware business on Lorain Street, eventually expanding his operations to include the Tinnerman Steel Range Works. In 1907, the Cleveland Chamber of Industry was formed by Tinnerman and other prominent businessmen, most of them Germans.

Mr. Tinnerman's father was the founder of Tinnerman Hardware later to become Tinnerman Stove and Range Company. An original "Tinnerman Stove" can still be seen in the kitchen at the Tinnerman canoe base. Albert Tinnerman, in an effort to find better methods of stove manufacturing became the inventor of the Speed Nut®, a spring steel fastener used to keep porcelain enamel panels from cracking and crazing during manufacturing and shipping. In 60's and '70's, Castle was one of Science Magazine's advertisers. (Their slogan was "Big ideas take great new shapes at Castle"). Brand recognition is a strong suit of Rochester, N. Y.-based MDT Biologic Co./Castle. That should come as no surprise.
The company was founded back in 1883 as Wilmot Castle Co., manufactures laboratory, medical, dental and hospital equipment, including various types of sterilizers, operating tables, and surgical and dental lights.
Castle was a subsidiary of Sybron Corporation (sold in October 31, 2007 ), (formerly Ritter Pfaudler Corporation) and is now a division of a medical equipment corporation called MDT Corp., Torrance, Calif., manufactures sterility assurance systems and examination and operating equipment for health care and scientific markets worldwide.

The face is a floral possibly fruit with groups of green leaves, outside 2 concentric circles, ( one thin, and one bold).
The leaf and berries pattern is again used and divided in 4 spaces around a dark redish brown swirl.
on the reverse is a mark FS in a circle with STAS and number under it. A hole is drilled through the rim of
the underside and a string for hanging. I have never seen one of these.

Radiant Gasoline Powered Iron from Akron, Ohio

Description;
Similar irons operated with Kerosene Iron from the Akron Lamp & MFG.Co.. (supplier to Montgomery-Wards and Sears-Roebuck. ) sold new in 1936 for a total of $3.95.

The Microwaves of their day, Iron technology evolved quickly in the twentieth century, and this vintage gas iron by Radiant Products Inc, is a product of that fleeting innovation.

The iron base is a chrome plated steel, the general body is thin chrome plated steel, including fuel / air tank. the handle, ( with a built in pump), is Wood, ( possibly Phenolic resin / or Bakelite), and knobs are steel.

This Iron, ( also sold by Montgomery Ward iron), is Patent No. 2065492 dated Dec. 22, 1936. It had its pressure pump built-in. The knob on the front, which also contains the air pump, is extracted for filling the reservoir with gasoline. Then the pump is placed back in, pumped 15 times ( as instructions read), to apply pressure, ignite and Iron your clothes. (The leather gasket in the pump is deteriorated).

It is not written on the iron, but I would advise while using this iron to stand by a window or door to throw it outside when it catches on fire as I have read happened many times.
I would guess this method of ironing would have taken up most of a Tuesday, ( My aunt mentioned one time Tuesday was "ironing day"). This was long before Permanent press was available of course.

The bottom of the handle attaches slightly three quarters down the length. the bottom attaches as a double tier with a rolled edge. ( in a shield, stamped on the bottom ), are the words "Colonial . Genuine-Pewter-LB." This Pitcher was most likely used to serve water in a tavern or dining room in it's day.. A Strong, very handsome Vintage piece.

Description;
Romantic "vintage" elegance, hinged filigree bracelet. Beautiful silver patina and an intricate design can be seen throughout. There is a main top section and two side sections. The 6 hinges are in excellent shape. The clasp looks a bit depressed but holds tightly, ( the release is very small and you may need a pointed object to open it. There are no signatures or Identifying marks.

6.75 inches in length, and the center section is 1.125 inches by 1.625 inches

Victorian Thick Milk Glass Tray/ Base for Dresser Set Hand Painted

This beautiful vanity tray has raised swirls and scrolls around it's perimeter.
The tray appears it once was
brightly hand painted with an original pattern of Rose buds, I'm not sure about
the brown around the edges. some of the paint is worn or chipped from use,
other wise, It is in excellent condition. There are no identifying marks or
signatures on this item.
