Published by Morris Steinburg, of Morris Systems Publishing Company, 550 - 590 Lafayette Blvd. Detroit MI. 1933. The Game series is in it's original box, ( the box is torn and missing a side), but the game is complete. There are 3 pads of 400 score cards( 1200), a bit yellow from age, but usable. It also includes, 8 books of varying subject material, which include;
Etiquette, Love and Marriage, American History, Spelling, World Events, Foods & Cooking, Riddles, and Famous Sayings. and of course there is a spinner so you know what to do on your turn. The questions may be a bit outdated considering it's age, but this is definitely a collectors item.

Primitive Fox and Goose Folk Art Red Clay Vase

Description;
This is a simple but elegant fox and goose folk art red clay vase. It measures 8.5 inches by 3.75 inches It is glazed inside so it can hold water for flowers and matte clay finish on three quarters of the outside. There decorative ring on the neck of the vase of scallops and dots. The images are of a primitive style of a fox chasing a goose, with blue detail and outlines on White. Under the images the scalloped design is repeated followed by fluting with a Blue Green glaze. I did not see any names or markings on the bottom of this piece.

Traveling Jewery Case, w/ Nature Drawings Possibly Signed

This is a Traveling Jewery Case, Asian in style and from the art work I would say Chinese.
As well as being functional, it is quite attractive.
The top when closed has carved on it, a bird on a branch, on the front is a single open flower, and on one end it houses a drawer with 4 Chinese characters over the opening.
The hard ware is definitely hand made vintage Chinese.
The top opens to reveal a mirror, which tilts and locks in place by the top edge. Thus providing a viewing angle for applying make up, brushing her hair, or putting on jewelry.
This piece is obviously hand made and is unique as I have not seen any others similar to it. Give her this as a gift and she will know some real thought went into it, or add this very different item to your treasured collectibles.

Brass Plated Peacock Sculpture Incense Burner

This Sculpture, Oil Lamp, incense burner,? Measures 16 inches long from head to tail where a
5 inch high Brass Stork doubles as a handle on the tail piece which also lifts open. You could
keep incense, paperclips. post it notes, your choice. It measures approx. 13 inches from the
base to the top of the cast bronze / brass head. The other cast pieces are the feet, the Stork,
( mentioned above), and a piece under the tail as well as a rear foot ( see photos)..
The body of this Interesting sculpture is hollow, and I believe it is brass plated copper.
A thin piece covers an opening in the body of the bird, which doesn't quite close well from
what looks like a bent wing. all easily repaired. In the opening is a tray or second lid with
a handle at it's center. If this was meant to be a religious item , ( India), it would be to hide
gifts to a deity inside.
It could also be Asian, as for the Chinese, the Peacock is a symbol for Dignity and Beauty,
While the stork it is said, was able to snatch up a worthy man, like the flute-player Lan Ts'ai Ho, and
carry him to a blissful life.
I found it interesting simply as a piece of art, how ever, we're not experts, if any of our friends out

Buddha, Museum Quality Artist Carved Wood Folk Art

Description;
You are bidding on a one of a kind Artist Carved Wood Buddha, Period unknown, seated in meditation, and holding to the front, of his robes what appears to be remnants of a scepter, left hand, right hand, on knee. I could not place the age of this piece, however the wood itself is very distressed and shows some repairs have been made over time. on close inspection I found many wormholes, ( see photos). The two openings in the back suggest this was part of a banister or railing end cap, or the end of an arm from a throne.

The art of Buddhist figures in China took shape with the introduction of Indian Buddhism. The legend had it that on a certain night of the year 60, Ming Emperor Liu Zhuang in Eastern Han dreamed a golden man without knowing where he came from. The next day, the emperor called his subjects together to explain the dream. A minister named Fu Yi said Xitianzhu (in ancient India) had such a sage called Buddha dressed in gold. What the emperor had dreamed must be the Buddha. Then the emperor sent one of his attendants, Cai Yin, with thousands of soldiers, to Tianzhu on a diplomatic mission to seek Buddhist doctrine. In 67, they returned to China with Buddhist scripture and figures. This was the first record on China's Buddhist figures in ancient books, but it didn't tell what kind of figures they were. From the existing stone sculptures and pottery Buddhist figures, we find that the Han people carved them according to the images of celestial beings in vogue at that time.

Bulova, created the very first radio commercial in 1926, "At the tone, it's

This was to be followed years later with the first TV commercial, Just a picture of a Bulova clock on a map of the United States, with the caption, " The United States runs on Bulova time".
Be first to bid on this 1960's, Bulova Accutron, the revolutionary timekeeping breakthrough invention of Max Hetzel. It was ready for commercial sales in the US. The Bulova Accutron watch set in motion an unstoppable revolution in the watch making industry. In it's day, no watch was available that was so accurate, not at any price. This newest of Bulova's watches had done away with the spiral balance spring and escapement mechanism that ticked, and replaced it with a miniature tuning fork which hummed, keeping time to an accuracy of within one minute per month.

German Made Lithographed Tin Lighthouse

Description;
This lithographed tin light house toy is one of many coming out of Germany in the categories of “Pre-War” tin toys and angel chimes. Most of these early versions are lithographed and have great detail.
I have seen many candle powered toys ranging from Carousels to Angel chimes, and the infamous Put Put Boat. All of these toys use a candle and some sort of balanced vane which spins as heat from the candle rises through it. This in turn produces quiet chimes, or projected lighted shapes on the walls and ceiling of the room they are in.
This one is a clever lighthouse, probably manufactured before the war because of the materials, and detail used. The newer versions are generally stamped from unadorned flat brass. I did not find a balance point for the spinning top, so we are offering it "as found". This is a fascinating toy, and definitely a rare collectors item.

This is a great vintage hat. The era is found from hats of this style in vintage clothing as being from the late Forties to early sixties. The label says Christian Dior, Chapeaux, Paris-New York. It also has a label From F & R Lazarus Company retail store in Columbus, Ohio, whom the New York fashion industry also regarded as an important part of the business. The Union, Lazarus, and The Fashion were especially significant in promoting fashion trends through numerous style shows. They had designer clothing salons within the stores.

Folk Art Fish Woodcarvings Trophy Collection

Description;
Folk art hand carved wooden fish, of various sizes, ( 8 to 10 inches in length), are hand painted and mounted as trophies. Some of the fins are colorful plastic. I believe there are some fin and tail nippers in this group, as I found minor repairable damage to some of their tails. (see photos). an interesting
and colorful wall art group.
